Another update post!
I've been working on things quite a bit. Fixed a lot of bugs, changed a lot of systems. I've also been working on a new RPG, a remake of one of my first ever games, Teridal.
As for the updates, I did more style changes around the website. Increased contrast between a lot of things. Made darks darker and lights lighter.
I also added the ability to run functions and other operations when declaring a global variable. Before, all you could do is set a global variable to a string, number, basic object, or array. Now, you can set them to pretty much anything, much like when you declare a local variable inside of a function.
Also made keys "clear" when you select an input so when focus is taken away the key isn't stuck pressed. And fixed an issue with animations that would cause a game to crash after being alt-tabbed from the game for a long time. Also fixed some drawing issues and a lot of other things that were either minor or I forgot to keep track of. As things get closer to release, I will start logging everything I do, so I can display release notes and such.
I would like to get back to work on the offline IDE and finish it soon. It is probably about 90% done and it's been that way for almost a year now. The main reason I haven't pulled the trigger on finishing and releasing it is because I'm still not sure how I want to go about distributing it and once I do, I will have to write up licenses and figure out how I want to handle everything.
I am still going to focus mainly on making games, but I will continue to update Vylocity as I go!
Stay tuned for more updates!
